MMA fighter at large after allegedly beating girlfriend
MMA fighter Jon Koppenhaver, aka War Machine, is on the run from police after allegedly beating his actress-girlfriend Christy Mack and another person, The Daily Mail reported on August 12.
According to the report, Mack and the other unnamed person sustained severe but non-fatal injuries after allegedly being hit by Koppenhaver in a domestic violence altercation that happened at the couple’s residence in Las Vegas. The MMA star, who did not present himself to the authorities, made comments about the incident on Twitter expressing concern for Mack and dismay over what was possibly an infidelity situation.
Bellator, the MMA tournament group that handles War Machine, terminated Koppenhaver’s contract, stating that they do not tolerate acts of domestic violence. Meanwhile, families and friends of Mack are offering a reward of $5,000 to anyone with information on Koppenhaver’s whereabouts.
