Millionaire Matchmaker contestant facing domestic violence charges

John Bonavia, a financial adviser and a contestant of Bravo network’s Millionaire Matchmaker last year, has been arrested and charged with domestic violence. The police officers arrived at the scene after a call regarding disturbance of the peace on Spalding Drive, Beverly Hills on September 12 at around 1 a.m.

Lieutenant Lincoln Hoshino of the Beverly Hills Police department stated that the officers encountered an uncooperative male, who was later identified as Bonavia. The police kicked the door open and found a woman who had sustained significant injuries.

The 31-year-old suspect was arrested based on the charges of resisting arrest, probation violation, and the suspicion of attempted murder. Bonavia is currently detained without bail in Los Angeles at Men’s Central Jail.
