LA Philharmonic conductor’s wife filed for divorce

Eloisa Maturen, the wife of the conductor of the Los Angeles Philharmonic Gustavo Dudamel, filed for divorce from her husband, citing irreconcilable differences, the San Jose Mercury News reported on March 19.

The Venezuelan couple had been married for nine years, during which time they had their three-year-old son. Maturen is seeking physical custody of their son, as well as spousal support from Dudamel.

Dudamel directed the musical score to the biographical movie of Simon Bolivar that came out last year. Maturen, too, made a debut last year–she acted in a Fina Torres film entitled, “Liz in September.” She has also worked as a ballet dancer and journalist.
