FBI will not press charges against Brad Pitt regarding child abuse allegations

Actor and producer Brad Pitt has been given a break. A report made by entertainment news network TMZ revealed that the Federal Bureau of Investigation indicated there is no further reason to probe his alleged confrontation with 15-year-old son Maddox. The alleged incident occurred during a trip back to the United States from France on a private plane on September 14, 2016 and contributed to 41-year-old actress, film maker, and humanitarian Angelina Jolie filing for divorce against him.

In a statement, the FBI said, “The FBI has conducted a review of the circumstances and will not pursue further investigation. No charges have been filed in this matter.” The news surfaced just as Pitt was promoting his movie Allied, which opened in theaters last Wednesday, November 23.
