Dennis Quaid and third wife Kimberly Quaid file for divorce
In a joint statement released to TMZ on Tuesday, June 28, Parent Trap and The Rookie star Dennis Quaid and his wife, Kimberley, announced the end of their twelve-year marriage. According to the statement, “the decision was made amicably and with mutual respect toward one another.”
Kimberly Quaid, née Buffington, is a former real estate agent from Texas. She and Quaid married in 2004 and are now the parents of eight-year-old fraternal twins, Thomas and Zoe. Buffington filed for divorce the first time in 2012, but the couple reconciled and withdrew the divorce papers. This will be Quaid’s third divorce. His marriage to P.J. Soles lasted from 1978 until 1983, and his marriage to Meg Ryan, spanned from 1991 until 2001.
